Why should I wear a daily SPF?

With the weather warming up, it’s the perfect time to enjoy the garden and soak up some sunshine. But let’s talk about something super important: sunscreen. Whether you’re lounging outside or even just working from home near a window, SPF is a must-have. We all love the sun and its health perks, but we need to keep our skin safe from its harmful effects. Skin cancer and premature aging are just a couple of reasons why slathering on that sunscreen is essential. So, don’t forget to protect your skin before heading out.

I always use factor 50 as a facial #moisturiser all year round. Even in the winter or when its cloudy UV rays can still pass through clouds and negatively impact the skin if its not protected.

Leading sunscreen specialists #Altruist have complied a list of really helpful tips...(this is not an ad or sponsored post, completely impartial) to keep you protected this summer...

Exposure to UV or sun for 15 mins or more, requires skin protection - we recommend a minimum of SPF30

.

☀ After washing hands, protect with #sunscreen if outside - use it as a hand cream to stop your hands drying out too

.

☀ UV penetrates glass. If you're working from home near a window, remember to stay protected

.

☀ Wear sunscreen even when cloudy - 40% of #UV can penetrate clouds

.

☀ Always reapply every 2 hours if outside

.

☀ Easiest way to stay protected always? Use a quality 5 star high SPF as part of your daily skincare routine or as a daily moisturiser - that way maintaining healthy skin, is a no-brainer

A final tip from me, don't forget your lips. The skin on lips can easily get burnt. Invest in a lip balm which contains an SPF. Ideally in a tube form as they're more hygienic than jars.

It seems it's going to be a hot few weeks, so make sure to stay protected and remember to reapply!
