Lip balm tube v Lip balm jar

Updated: Apr 18, 2020

You’re out and about, lips are dry, you reach into your bag and pull out your jar of lip balm, apply and continue  your day. So what’s wrong with this? Nothing,  if every time you use this jar of lip balm you wash your hands. Sanitisers are great but can’t replace thoroughly washing hands. For this reason I only ever use lip balms in tubes. I can use them no matter where I am. The twist up or applicator balm ensures no nasties are able to get through and in my opinion are so much more hygienic than jars.

With this crazy corona going on, one thing you can do to minimise the spread of germs is by making a simple switch to a tube of lip balm instead of a jar. It won’t fix everything but its better than nothing.
